Digital photography became mainstream in the late 2000s, starting with the DSLR's than not long after mobile phones. Within a short period nearly anyone was able photograph whatever they'd like in seconds without needing to study photography. Professional photographers now use the highest end full frame mirrorless cameras, but a majority of the public believe the convince of a phone outshines the quality of a mirrorless camera.
