After years of shooting on digital, film finally caught my attention when my grandfather handed me his old Canon AE-1 from the 70s, and only after months of it sitting on the shelf did I bring it on a canoe trip. From winding the film too framing the shot too perfection, the mechanical and chemical science makes photography so much more fun, and don't even get me started on the anticipation of getting the rolls produced.
